arrow Preparation of the floor
Before starting the installation of your new Vivaldi laminate floor it is highly recommended to acclimatize the planks, leaving the unopened packs in the center of the room where you want to setup the floor for at least 48 hours. The ideal temperature is of approximately 22°C and a humidity level of 55%. After acclimatisation, please check every plank for faults or imperfections.
arrow Preparing the room
The Vivaldi laminate floors can be installed on any hard surface.

NOTE: It is important that all carpets or other textile floor coverings be removed prior to setup. The subfloor should be perfectly flat and any deviations or irregularities greater than +/-3mm over 100cm intervals should be corrected. Also, the subfloor surface must be clean and dry.

New construction:
Prior to laying the boards, allow the new 1-4 cm thick concrete floor to dry for a week. In case of a greater thickness, leave the floor to dry for the double amount of time.

If you plan to install the laminate floor in a room with underfloor heating, make sure that the maximum temperature does never exceed 28oC and that the moisture content is less than 1.5%. It is imperative to ask for special instructions or to use a professional for the setup.
Renovation:
Make sure to remove all carpets and other textile floor coverings. Damp sealed floorings such as PVC, linoleum, VCT, etc. can be kept. Always use underlay.
