INSTALLATION GUIDE FOR VINYL TILES

arrow PREPARATION OF THE FLOOR TREATMENTS
Check tiles to make sure that the packages have not been damaged during delivery, ensure that the correct amount of flooring has been received and that the tiles have no visible damages.

Upon arrival make sure that both the boxes containing the flooring and the adhesive are left in the room where they are to be installed for a period of at least 24 hours to acclimatize.

NOTE: It is important to ensure that the boxes containing the tiles are not arranged in stacks of more than 5 and that there is enough room between the boxes on all four sides for the air to circulate.

The acclimatization period is very important to ensure that there will be no dimensional changes in the surface due to temperature variations.

Special precautions should be taken in the case of rooms with underfloor heating, as the system should be turned off for at least 48 hours before installation and the maximum allowed temperature, of 27 degrees Celsius, should be reached gradually. Equally important is the fact that special adhesives should be used in this case.
arrow PREPARING THE FLOOR
Carefully inspect the subfloor, make sure that it has been properly cleaned and that there are no irregularities in the surface.

The regular form of the tiles results in the need for a more careful planning of the layout as well as the start point for the installation. The recommended point is the center of the room.
arrow MEASURING THE FLOOR
Measure the entire room from various points both in length as well as in width and after identifying the centre of the room, using chalk, draw the centre line A-B. Lay loose vinyl tiles away from this centre line, making sure that no vinyl tile strips need to be cut off and laid along the perimeter of the room by moving the centre line, parallel to the original A-B line. Make sure that the tiles on the edges only require little cut to size.

Draw centre line C-D making sure that the two lines form a 90 degrees angle when they meet and repeat the same action using loose tiles, as shown below.
