For optimal results install the laminate floors in the same direction the light enters you space.
Make sure the laminated floor coverings are always installed crosswise over the existing sub floor

Preparation |
Before beginning the installation process allow the laminate floor coverings to acclimate leaving them unpacked, in the middle of the room where you want to install them for a period of 48 hours.
Make sure you provide an expansion space of 8 up to 10 mm from the wall and other obstacles such as pipes, door frames and thresholds to account for fluctuating humidity levels that cause laminate flooring to expand or contract.
NOTE: In larger rooms use an extension profile every ten meters, length and width wise.

Step 1 - Preparing the surface |
Clean the base surface, install the dampscreen and the subfloor
Inspect all the planks and remove faulty ones, if any.
Step 2 - Door frames |
Place a laminate floor plank with the decorated part facing the floor, mark the total height of the floor on the door frame and cut it in order to push the board under it easily.
NOTE: When sawing a laminate plank make sure to place the decorated side facing the work surface to avoid damaging it.
Step 3 - First row |
You can install these floor treatments from left to right or from right to left.
It is preferable that you start from one corner of the room placing the first plank with the tongue sides facing the wall.
| |
Final plank |
After cutting to size the plank that completes a row, you can use the remaining part to start the next row given that the leftover piece is 25 cm or longer.
