Installation instructions for Balterio laminate flooring

arrow General
The Click xpress® installation system allows you to join the panels through a rolling motion which helps you save time and enables you to use the floors immediately after setting them up. The same Click xpress® revolutionary technique makes replacing planks and even moving these floors easy.

  • pencil
  • measuring rod or measuring tape
  • waterproof adhesive tape
  • sanding block or sanding machine
  • laminate flooring installation kit: expansion blocks, buffer block, tension iron
arrow Preparation
Before installing the laminate floors leave the packs in the center of the room where you want to place the laminate floors for 48 hours. The ideal temperature is of approximately 22°C and a humidity level of 55%. After acclimatisation inspect every laminate plank and remove the faulty ones, if any.
arrow Subfloor
These laminated floors can be installed on any hard surface. Soft surfaces such as carpets must be removed. Be sure that the surface is dry, clean and that irregularities taller than 2 mm have been smoothed out.
arrow CONCRETE SUBFLOOR
New construction:
Make sure to allow the new concrete floor to dry for a week if it is of 1 - 4 cm thick and the double amount of time for a thickness of over 4 cm.
arrow Underfloor heating
If you are installing the laminate flooring in a room with underfloor heating, make sure that the subfloor does not exceed the temperature of 28°C and that the moisture content is less than 1.5% and that the water tubes are min. 3 cm underneath the surface.

Make sure that the underfloor heating is turned off and that the temperature of the floor does not exceed 18°C.

You need to install a dampscreen and use foil in different sizes, if necessary, making sure that the pieces overlap at least 20 cm before taping them together.

After completing the installation of the floors wait a minimum of 24 hours before turning on the underfloor heating making sure there are no excessive temperature differences turning your heat up and down gradually.

The maximum degree of humidity allowed is of 1.5% and this limit must not be exceeded.

Note: the highest acceptable heat conductivity for any type of floor covering ranges from 0.15 to 0.18 W/m*K and in the case of electrical underfloor heating the 60W/m² must not be exceeded.
